The Department of English Programs is proud to announce that MA TEFL student Ryan McGohon was selected as the 2012 Balian Award recipient.  Ryan initially came to Armenia from the USA as a Peace Corps volunteer and dedicated two years of his life to teaching English and various other community projects in Shamshadin.  While there, Ryan also managed to obtain donations and supplies from the US for the local hospital as well as other regional medical centers throughout Tavush Marz.  Ryan is a prime example of what it means to be an American University of Armenia (AUA) student.  With all the qualities he demonstrates, he is poised for great professional and personal success.  Congratulations Ryan!!
